Who we are?

IIN is a ground-breaking collaboration between Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and Development Partners (DPs) to unlock and accelerate transformative foreign investments to speed up growth, create jobs, and assist in the development of an equitable and sustainable economy in Nepal.

It is a result of dialogue amongst DFIs and DPs to promote and attract foreign investment in Nepal. This initiative was designed to be an open-ended collaborative platform, available for all DFIs and Impact Investors. The IIN initiative was launched in 2021 and will continue through December 2030.

IIN’s multi-faceted approach is built around five key pillars: 1) supporting investment readiness, 2) enhancing the regulatory environment, 3) strengthening the investment ecosystem, 4) promoting sustainable finance, and 5) forging strategic partnerships, all underpinned by the market intelligence provided to investment ecosystem stakeholders.

Nepal Impact Investment Forums (NIIF)

Since 2023, IIN has been organising an annual investment forum connecting DFIs, impact investors, financial institutions, PEVC funds, businesses, regulators, and development partners. Following the DFI Missions in 2023 and 2024, the forum was rebranded as the Nepal Impact Investment Forum to engage a wider range of foreign investors.
